SESSION CONFIRMATION: Leading up to your photo session (usually within 7 days) you will receive an email confirming your session details, including location and start time. If you haven't heard from me within 24-48 hours please reach out.

WEATHER: The weather is one thing that is totally out of our control. I will still go ahead with your session if it is cloudy/overcast. However, if the weather looks unpredictable or rainy, we may need to touch base the morning of your shoot for confirmation. Sometimes we may need to reschedule and that's okay. Safety is first and it's also good to avoid being out in the wet for the little ones, nobody wants to catch a cold!

TIMING: Please make sure you arrive to your session on time, we have a certain window of time prior to the sun setting and I want to make sure we use every fun-loving minute! If you need to change into an outfit prior to your session, please note this will be done at the start of your session.

WHAT TO PACK: One of my favourite suggestions for a family session is to pack a few light beverages in an esky! Pack some water, soft drinks, beers, whatever your choice of drink is and crack one open before, during or after your session! I find this instantly relaxes people and keeps the session casual and fun.

WINTER: If your session is during the cooler months, please bring a nice warm layer! A light coat, denim jacket, or just layer up underneath for any little ones.

SUMMER: If your session is during the warmer months, please pack: water, sunscreen AND mosquito spray (just incase!).

ENJOY YOUR SESSION: My best advice I can give to you for your session is to just have fun. The hour we have together is for you to really just relax and enjoy some quality family time. If you have kids; play with them, be a little silly if that's your style, laugh, love and just be yourselves! I'll be there on the sideline to capture it all.

OUTFITS: Feel free to send me any photos of your outfits if you'd like styling advice, I’m more than happy to make small suggestions so you look your best. I highly recommend using Pinterest for inspiration, there are so many great options on there. Just search things like 'Outdoor family photos outfits', 'family photoshoot outfits' etc.

TIPS FOR CHILDREN!

If you have kids, please try and get them excited about our session together! Talk about it leading up to the shoot, get them to help choose an outfit, show them some of my pictures or even my face so they know who they are going to meet! I love kids, and find it doesn't take long for them to warm up, but I think talking about the photo session really gets them excited for the day.
